Our knowledge of Greek gods and goddesses mostly comes from Ovid’s Metamorphoses and some from the Greek Homeric Hymns. Most translations from Greek and Latin have been done by male scholars who may have a patriarchal mindset. In this lecture Elisabeth Brooke will use material from her forthcoming book, Goddess Astrology, showing how her re-translated Homeric Hymns can be used to construct an astrology of goddesses.
