You are warmly invited to the next Herbal Alliance Practitioner event focusing on how sustainability can be integrated into your clinical practice. This is an urgent call to further your understanding of the broad range of complex ecological and social issues we all face when dispensing herbal medicines.
In this practitioner's seminar, we will learn about:
The fundamentals of sustainability in relation to herbal medicine
Herbalist’s role in the global value chain
Explore the web of complex relationships between herbalists, suppliers, growers, harvesters and the ecosystem.
Ways to practice more sustainably; the maze of certifications, growing your own
Explore how herbalists can work together
We will hear from practitioners who have worked in sustainability and learn about ways that can make herbal medicine unsustainable as well as sustainable.
There will be time to share your visions for the future. Expect to be inspired!
This day is an essential pre-requisite for anyone wanting to do the forthcoming 6-month course leading to a Certificate in Sustainable Herbalism.
Developed by The Herbal Alliance Education and Sustainability Teams
and Sponsored by the White Crane Academy.
