In this introductory talk with The Association of Master Herbalists, Rachel will give an overview of the menstrual cycle and show what a tracking chart for a healthy period should look like. She will talk about the different stages of the menstrual cycle, what is happening during those stages and how we might be affected by the changes taking place in our bodies.
She will also talk about the symptoms that can helpfully be tracked and what those symptoms tell you about the cycle. This will give you useful information for treating menstrual issues without having to order expensive tests straight away. The talk will finish with some simple treatment options that you can easily incorporate into your practice or use for self-treatment.
The AMH are intending to follow up this talk with more in-depth sessions on particular menstrual issues such as fertility, menopause and conditions such as PCOS.

Rachel Morgan is an herbalist, aromatherapist, abdominal massage therapist and a fertility awareness method coach. She trained with CNM, Neal’s Yard, the Abdominal Therapy Collective and the Natural Fertility Planning Teachers’ Association. She is a council member of the Association of Master Herbalists.
