Join London Drawing Group’s Luisa Maria MacCormack for a VERY special collaboration, with Aeon author Samantha Almond!
This session will explore the magical world of Medicinal Plants, guided by expert forager Sam. You will learn to identify, and draw from, some of the most common medicinal plants of the UK, as well as exploring much of the folklore around some of our most common British plants.
This class celebrates the publication of Samantha’s new book Old Remedies for Modern Living.
Luisa will be using the works of some incredible botanical illustrators throughout the last 1000 years to explore how drawing Botany can be both practical (for identification purposes), and beautiful! Expect a slow, grounded class with lots of useful practical information about these incredible plants, as well as some unusual drawing exercises aimed at getting us to look more deeply at the world around us.
This class is suitable for all levels.
