Join herbalist Julia Behrens for Medicinal Plants of Coastlines & Oceans, a full-day immersive workshop exploring the healing plants of shorelines, salt marshes, and sea.
Working with coastal allies such as Malva sylvestris (Mallow), seaweeds including Laminaria (Sea Kelp), Hippophae rhamnoides (Sea Buckthorn), Plantago lanceolata (Plantain), and Rosa canina (Rose), Julia will explore:
- How marine and shoreline plants support skin, digestion, mineral balance, thyroid, and immune health.
- The difference between land-based and sea-based herbal actions.
- Traditional uses of seaweeds and coastal botanicals.
- Safe, simple ways to prepare remedies at home.
Blending plant wisdom with hands-on learning and medicine-making, this workshop offers a grounded introduction to the healing edge where land meets sea. Open to all - no prior herbal knowledge needed.
