Learn how to help clients to prevent ulcerated wounds and how they can be treated using herbal medicine
In a follow up to her well received webinars oh Herbal First Aid, experienced Medical Herbalist, author and educator Nikki Darrell will explore how to treat ulcerated wounds.
Ulcerated wounds are experienced by 1 in 500 people in the UK (source NHS) with this rising to 1 in 50 in people over the age of 80. They required treatment by an appropriately trained health professional and patients are required to go to their GP surgery or receive visits from their District nurse for treatment.
What can we as Herbalists do to treat our clients with this painful condition and how can we help them to potentially prevent them developing ulcerated sores?
In this webinar, Nikki will explain:
· What conditions can predispose a person to ulcerated wounds;
· Preventative measures for these people
· How to treat ulcerated wounds with internal and external preparations to heal them
· Treating ulcerated wounds that are infected
